Also, once again with Sara going back to the league, I think she ultimately becomes onyx. Also, isn't roy speedy considering he now has a whole year of training and now real life experience ahead of thea?

I don't see Roy being called Speedy on a regular basis in this show. Oliver calls Thea Speedy. Oliver did yell out Speedy in an earlier episode to get Roy to snap out of a mirakuru rage, but he said he called out his sister's nickname to get him to snap out of it (and Roy even said not to call him that).
I think Roy may be called the Red Arrow for awhile until he takes up the Arsenal mantle, or just go straight to Arsenal, or he may not go by a nickname for awhile. But he will be Oliver's sidekick for at least next season

Did anyone else notice that the only Suicide Squad member that Diggle and Lyla broke out was Deadshot. The other two people weren't SS members. The credits say that they are Torque and Raven. Torque was a Bludhaven enemy of Nightwing. Since we know that the Raven that they broke out of prison was a dude, I seriously doubt he is the Teen Titan Raven. But there was another guy named Raven that was an enemy of Robin. I hope these are easter eggs pointing to a Nightwing appearance.

Just got around to watching, that was awesome. The Oliver/Slade fight with the flashbacks was badass.
Oliver getting taken by ARGUS to Hong Kong is an interesting twist. Hopefully that'll explain a lot more of his training.
Lots of big storylines going into next season. Can't wait!

Hmm the Hong Kong thing intrigues me a lot when you recall back to S1. I could be remembering completely wrong, but didn't they show those same heels/legs in S1 which implies that those trying to shoot down that plane worked for Waller?

Fyers was working for some lady whose face they never showed. Yao Fei said he was a prisoner on the island when he first started talking to Oliver. So I'm assuming that Waller/ARGUS was behind the plot to destablize China, and may even have been behind Prof. Ivo (but that might be a bit of a leap at this point). But I bet she was keep track of what all Oliver was doing on the island, so once she saw that he took Slade down on the boat, she decided that she could use him like she does the Suicide Squad.

If it hasn't been mentioned yet...
John Barrowman (Merlyn) has been added as a permanent cast member for Season 3. So we'll be seeing a lot more of him and Thea as Team Dark Arrow.

well just got done season 2 after binge watching then read this whole thread. not sure how you guys handled the breaks between episodes as i couldn't wait to keep watching (stayed up till 2am a few nights)

It's awesome to see how much the fan base continues to grow for this show. It seems every few weeks another person gets into it. I have two more friends watching season 1 right now.

For some reason, last week I thought that Arrow (and Flash) was coming on this week. I was pretty pissed to find out otherwise.

sooooorry. one more short week. i feel like this will be the biggest season for Arrow yet. crazy how they continue to organically build up the story without forcing things.

No doubt. And this season they will have a lot going on, not just with Oliver, but with a lot of the other characters. They'll be dealing with Felicity's backstory, Thea's storyline being trained/mentored by Malcolm, Laurel's training (I'm assuming since they're bringing in Ted Grant), & Diggle's kid/family on top of introducing Ray Palmer and Ra's which will probably be pretty big storylines throughout the season (at least Ra's' will be). It should be an awesome season.
