Ok I just finished watching it and all I can say is wow. The writers know exactly what where they want to go with this show, and that is how you write a season finale.
First off, I couldn't believe that Thea actually shot Malcolm. And then him being proud that she did what Tommy couldn't was spot on for his character. When they first showed that he was alive earlier in the season I admit that I thought it was a mistake. But he is a pretty cool character, and I really like the direction they look to be taking Thea's direction by going off with him.
I liked that Diggle and his wife went and put the SS band back together to take on Waller. And I liked how the writers had Waller throw out the whole "how's the son, or daughter is it?" out of left field. I mean that came out of nowhere.
BlacknGold, I'm glad you were right with Sara surviving
. Hopefully we'll get to see her again some next season. And her giving Laurel her jacket kind of symbolized Laurel being the future Black Canary down the road (hopefully a few seasons down the road). The only thing that I didn't buy was the fact that they made it sound like Sara would still have the freedom to come back and visit. I don't see the League giving her that kind of freedom. But then Det. Lance collapsing spitting up blood came out of nowhere. I wonder if he died. That would just be Oliver's luck to finally get in good with the police, and then have his biggest backer keel over.
Whoever called the fakeout, good call. That was done really well by the writers. I'm so glad they were faking the whole Oliver being in love with Felicity. I was worried there for a minute.
I also really like the direction they are going with the flashbacks. I was wondering how they were going to be able to stretch out the flashbacks much further with him being on the island, but now they can stretch it out easily. Plus being with Argus will give him that much more training and experience to make him what he was when he came back to Starling City. Like I said, the writer obviously know where they want to go with this series, and they are good at setting everything up to get there.

Amanda fished him out of the water. I guess he was unconscious from being on the sinking ship, and when he woke up she had him in Hong Kong.
Keep in mind that the person that Fyers worked for in the season 1 flashbacks was some lady whose face they never showed. Heck the whole plot to shoot Chinese planes out of the sky and blame it on Yao Fei could've been Argus/Amanda's plan to try and destabilize china. They could also have been behind Prof Ivo's expedition as well for all we know at this point. But since Oliver stopped Fyers and Slade, I guess Amanda figured he'd be useful for some other plan she has. She had probably been keeping tabs on him the whole time he was on the island. Evidently the island is an Argus base/prison. Remember that Yao Fei told Oliver that he was a prisoner on the island. So I'm assuming that Waller will be using Oliver in the flashbacks like she used the Suicide Squad, and will eventually put Oliver back on the island.
