I remember when Chris Carter did this very exact thing. He had Calvin Johnson like 5th a year ago or so.. just being a tool.. but even Carter came back later on in the season and pretty much said he was an idiot and CJ is the clear cut #1

Andre Johnson is still a top 3 wr and I hate the Texans.

The guy makes the catches year in year out and never talks shite.

Plus he has been doing it a long time. This puts him ahead of a few of the younger guys at the moment imo because he has been consistent

Yeah when he started with Megatron at 5 going in reverse, everyone on the FS1 set started cracking up

I get why Megatron gets all the hype and what not. He puts up INCREDIBLE #s. Incredible stats. Truly ridiculous.

But, the Lions have made the playoffs like 1 time since he was there. I know its not all on him, but IMO, his #s are inflated because they are always playing from way behind and they throw it 50 times a game.

When Jerry Rice set the receiving record, they won 11 games and won a game or 2 in the playoffs. And didnt he do it in less games? When Calvin broke Rices record, they won 4 or 5 games.

And also, Megatron is a 1 trick pony. And his trick happens to be unguardable. Strictly deep ball. And its unguardable. No DB in the game can defend the deep ball against him. Just like they cant defend it against Graham, Gronk, etc.

That said, Megaton is still the #1 WR in the game. But I think its a lot closer than people think.

This is my list.

1. Calvin
2. AJ Green
3. Julio
4. Dez
5. Marshall/Wayne/Andre

Dez and Julio have the highest ceiling. Yea Julio could be out for the year. And yea AJ went ahead of him in the draft and had a better rookie year. But, Julio is a bigger freak than AJ. And Julios route running and ball skills are getting to be as good as AJs.

Julio and Dez are the only WRs, IMO, that can score anytime they get the ball and on any route. They can take a screen pass 80 yards to the house. They can take a hitch/slant to the house. They can take a reverse to the house. And they are the best WRs in the deep ball outside of Megatron.

Calvin is GREAT. And the best WR today. But, hes not close to being the GOAT.

Wut

There is not a single thing Megatron cannot do. He is a fantastic route runner, has great hands, can catch the ball in traffic, can work the sideline, and has world class speed. To act like all he does is go deep calls into question whether or not you have actually seen him play.

Da FAQ? Dez has a shot at 15+ TDs this year with about 1,200-1,400 yards

Andre Johnson will be lucky if he gets a TD

Andre Johnson is on pace to have pretty much the exact same amount of yards as Dez..

The only difference is that Andre plays with an average QB and not many weapons on there offense which leads to him be double teamed alot.

Dez plays with a QB who is hovering pretty close to being a top 5 QB and in an offense with a ton of weapons to help take the pressure off him and helps him avoid being double teamed

Switch Andre and Dez and Andre would undoubtedly have better stats than what he has in Houston

you must not watch much football

Dez is a top 5 WR. Johnson barely cracked the top 10. No tread left on his tires

Calvin Johnson is the best right now.

However, AJ and Fitz both do run consistently more precision routes. Fitz has had crap for QBs since Warner retired. He was my favorite player to watch when he had a decent QB. Played like Jerry Rice, but with better height and leaping ability.

Lions aren't as bad as you make them out to be, it's not like they spot every opposing team a 20 point lead and then try to come back. And you're not looking at this from the other point of view. Teams know that Detroit has been a pass-first team for the past few years, and that they have lacked a running game. This allows them to focus more attention on Calvin. If Calvin were on a team that had a more established running threat, though the Lions look pretty good in that regard this year, then he would find himself more open looks IMO

I'm fairly certain he made all of that up on the spot.
