Yeah it's a freshwater introduction diversion.

Has been looked at for a looong time, but hasn't happened yet.

Also you can thank Gen Stonewall Jackson for sealing up bayou manchac during the war of 1812 and kicking off the whole mess.

That wasn't stonewall, and the place was relatively healthy until the salvania took over. The duck hunting was sick between I10 and airline. Killed a few north of the interstate too. But when that plant took over it ruined the hunting for the whole area.

In 2005', we killed 700 ducks on a piece of property a "stones throw from I-10. It was insane. Even shot a couple odd speckle bellies. Most limits were mallards and greys. And many Pintails were had. Unreal.

Yeah, I had some buddies hunting with a Boyce on those ponds after Katrina and they smoked them. I think they even made the advocate one weekend

Too many slickers who can buy a surface drive now. Ruin it for the common folk

There's a 100% chance I will have a trespassing problem if the ducks come back.

I'd rather just go somewhere else to shoot ducks.

shite, were going to have to deal with them now if they publish that map in the paper.

That guy Lreynolds that works for DU said there is a project in the works to run a diversion through there.

That diversion has been in the works for 10+ years, there are plans around on the internet. Just gotta wait to see if they get the money and go ahead.

They can limit use of the mud boats and let the die hard hunters hunt the ducks...
