What a hot mess. Judd Apatow may have had something semi-interesting to say in his earlier works, but he's run out of whatever can be construed as good. If I wasn't so bored to death, that movie would have made me slit my wrists.

yep. Just really not funny.
and who cares about any of the characters? Like if they divorced, I would've just said "oh, that's probably best for them." Or if one of them died I don't think I would've cared either.
Just a weird movie

Aren't they pete and deb from Knocked Up? Stupid attempt to do a movie about himself (that is his wife and daughters) but without the characters that made Knocked Up funny.

Movie made me want to punch a baby. I don't watch movies to feel fricking awkward. Terrible movie.

I agree. If a spinoff to knocked up had to be done it should've been about Ben's roommates .

yep, and it kills me its been 6 years post knocked up and because they all got separately famous haven't done a true followup with all of them actually contributing. I mean This is the End was great and had most of them in it but it was a lot of cameos as well.

Way too long, boring, awkward, etc. Sucked horribly

I watched about 20 minutes with the wife. An uncomfortable twenty minutes at that, and we can usually handle anything. Turned it off.

Megan Fox was really hot in this flick.

as messy as it is, I still think there were some good scenes that shed light on some of the things married couples go through
I think I gave it like a 6/10

I enjoyed it. It's obviously targeted to an older audience so anyone expecting Knocked-Up 2 will be dissapointed.
It could have been about 20 minutes shorter though.

I agree, as someone who is married with kids I enjoyed it.

Yeah, I think the movie has some fairly honest depictions of Yuppie marriage. I think the movie is a bit of a mess, but there's some great moments.
"What else have you been lying about?"
"I gave our daughter antibiotics. That's why her ear infection got better. Tell that to your f'n with doctor."
The movie almost gets a total pass from me just for that exchange. I hate, hate, HATE anti-medicine people (and if you don't get your kids vaccinated... screw you. I hope CPS takes your kids).

I thought the movie had plenty to say and was an honest depiction of marriage, particularly the peaks and valleys of it. I just don't know how entertaining it was; there were sections I liked a lot, but the overall movie was jumbled. And as someone pointed out, it was hard to get behind any particular character.

All his recent movies have the same plot. Comedic first act followed by a super serious second act wrapped up by a convenient resolution in the third act.

I liked This Is 40! it was almost too long, but i thought it was pretty good though. Definitely had some funny parts.

It wasn't great or all that funny, but it definitely had some moments that long time married people could realte to. I was trying not to laugh in front of my wife when the 2 guys were discussing how they thought about their wife dying.
