My brothers dog and the line he was out of where all 50lb+ dogs. He was great on the range, just out of sight and if no squirrel come back by to check in. He wasn't worth a damn on coon though he would tree squirrels at night. I don't think we ever got him to tree a coon at night.

Him about a week ago. Stole my spot on the couch.
Oh and he is 2.5 now. Smartest dog I have had. And best looking. But that sucker is stubborn. But will protect my wife like a champ.

Are there still hunting competitions in Louisiana?

Doodle
We got him at Huntington farms in Covington. He is first generation. His dad is full poodle and mom is full golden.
My wife says the first gen goldens do better with shedding than the first gen labs. I can tell you that the F1B (dad full poddle, mom doodle) dogs were almost double the price.

I honestly don't know if there are still squirrel comp tournaments?? If I had to guess, I'd say yes, considering coon hunting, etc...
