at that game in 2004. Georgia actually scored 45 on us with many blown covereges the fall after we won the MNC. We could only muster 16. Saban was pulling his hair out that day. We went 10-2 that regular season with defeats to Auburn(10-9) and Ga. Of course, our third loss was the infamous run the DB on the field late against Iowa. My point is that we recovered quite well from that asskicking, so we will see.

They went 9-3.

Lost to Iowa in the Cap One Bowl on a Hail Mary during Saban's farewell.

i thought most of those UGA TDs in 2004 were the result of pretty good fade routes -- passes were good, coverage was not airtight. Not quite the same as the clearly blown coverages we saw several times last Saturday.

The case of last Saturday is actually easier to correct if you believe in the talent.

I was there for that arse woopin. Those TD passes were perfect over tight coverage by Travis Daniels and Corey Webster. I believe our O had a few turnovers as well. Not the same.

I went to the rebound in the Swamp the next week. That was a great one.

You mean when the offense turned the ball over 4-5x and Green was throwing some perfect balls

Yes we did, we got ran off that midget coach and Les Miles got us back on track.

I started a similar thread few days back. You can compare the box scores from the link.

As some noted, Greene was incredible and we had 3 fumbles of which UGA convereted 2 into TDs. Few other slaient points in the comparison:
a) UGA '13 O > their '04 O (ask UGA fans if you don't believe me)
b) Had the '04 game not been so lopsided their O would have likely had even more yds/pts.
c) Our '04 D was pretty good; not nearly decimated by the draft as last year.
d) There wasn't the confusion among the DBs in '04 as last Sat.

Comparison of LSU-UGA '04 & '13

Ehh that was the biggest meh season ever. LSU beat Troy, Vandy, and Ole Miss in three wet, sloppy, or boring games near the end of the season.

2013 is way better than 2004. Hopefully this team can actually recover and play like they're capable of.

Hester had a 20 yard run that ended in the only fumble in his career. Pretty sure he didn't rush again that season.

Webster was injured that day and we had lost Spears and Hill at DE to entry NFL entry.
UGa had pointed to that game the entire off season. I think they got toasted the following week.
It's not comparable at all.
