Its fricking ridiculous that the coaches are blaming him for this. The Oakland Raiders are one sorry organization.

If he is still going to collect a paycheck probably better not to get killed behind Oaklands horrible offensive line.

The $16MM he's gotten in the past two years would take him 12 years to earn as a backup. No matter what he's going to be just fine.

So as somebody that actually watched the game, this is what I saw;
Flynn looked really bad at times, and I know this has been thrown out alot but he has got no help from his depleted o-line (that was already one of the worst I've seen in my entire life) and no help from quality running backs (Both DMac and the backup RB are injured and did not play the game.
All the defensive ends needed to do to the online is press their man back to bend the pocket. There were no finese moves used by any dlinemen in the game, just pure power. The Flynn oline couldn't take it. When the pocket collapses Flynn is literally surrounded with no where to go and getting sacked. Pryor, or any mobile QB, is the answer to this or even going to a shotgun formation to help the QB, but that didn't happen for Flynn . Many times, Flynn had to get the ball out in less than 2 seconds. If anyone watched the preseason game vs. the Saints it was a carbon copy gameplan defensively against the Oakland oline and Flynn.
That said, Flynn made some throws that Pryor could only dream about. And for Dennis Allen to put the loss solely on Flynn is pussy when there are glaring mistakes all over the place on that "team".

Best break Flynn has gotten in his career. Third team on the Raiders is better than starting. He has the money and two quarterbacks must be injured before he has to stand behind that matador OL. Some didn't even wave their towel giving Flynn a warning the bull was coming.

I'm sure he'd rather be playing regardless of what his paycheck looks like. At the end of the day we go to sleep contemplating what we've accomplished, not what our checking account looks like...

quote:it makes a big difference playing for the packers than some half arse raiders team......I bet mcarthy would take him back for the league minimum ......meanwhile Flynn just trolled two nfl teams for multi million dollars....good for him....
Isn't Flynn in the Green Bay record book for top performance in a game, ever? The only one he started?

Season, saved. Might have been the worst game I've watched start to finish in 9 years. Flynn is unspeakably awful.
Was Flacco's performance this weekend blacked-out in his area?

Raiders can't block worth a Crap. End of story... Allen doesn't know what he is talking about.. That line has needed fixing for so long that Allen himself does not know how to fix it that he rather blame the QBs and move on... As long as the Raider Fans keep filling the seats to watch the games he won't do anything else...

If I was Flynn, I'd be socking away every penny of that $6mm, and prepare to live a life of leisure for the next 50-60 years.

As I said on the MSB:
Sitting on a 7-0 lead he had nothing to do with, Flynn subsequently led one touchdown drive, threw a pick six, blew a great opportunity by going 3-and-out in Washington territory, fumbled inside Oakland territory leading to the clinching Washington touchdown, and then fumbled again to make things certain once Washington was already in quasi-prevent defense.
Oakland's longest drive was 36 yards, besides the lone touchdown drive and a ~50 yard drive late in the 4th down 10, which Flynn ultimately fumbled away.
And this was against one of the NFL's worst teams.
ETA: Flynn's statline at the point he took the field at the OAK 29, down 10 and with less than 7 minutes remaining:
17 - 27, 162, 6 yards per attempt
It's great that he went 4/5 for 65 yards once Washington went into prevent, though.

Ahhh, yes. It's the Raiders fault, not Flynn's. Give me a break. Flynn is horrible. And Dennis Allen didn't solely place the blame on him, at all. If Pryor started that game, the Raiders win. Flynn looked clueless and has zero arm strength. $6.5 million for that garbage of a performance. But hey, he got paid.
That could very well be the last game he plays in the NFL. Certainly as a Raider.

Just like it was the Seahawks' fault before that.

Give him a season to start and Flynn could be just as good as Flacco. Granted Flacco isn't great. But expecting Flynn to put up Manning/Brees/Brady type numbers in his 3rd career start with that horrendous offense supporting him is just stupid. Look at some of those greats first 16 starts. None of them put up MVP stats. Those throwing him under the bus after this one bad performance are just as bad as those who thought he was the second coming of John Elway after his last game with GB against the Lions. Put the dude in for a season and see what happens. You can't judge a guy by 3 fricking starts.
