Nah, I'm not trying too hard. Just very passionate about my opinion..
If the new album is heavier than 10k (Rosetta Stoned in particular), then it's gonna be incredible! I can't even wrap my mind around what it could be like...

From what I've read, everyone except Maynard has been banging out songs just waiting for Maynard to come in and figure out the vocals. Danny said that is their normal procedure.
He also mentioned that they has a playlist of new songs but weren't happy with the music because no matter how much they have been trying to create a different more progressive sound, everything keeps sounding like Tool of old.
Danny said that they want to create some new and completely different, and if that's true, I applaud their effort to push the envelope instead of putting out more of the same just to make extra cash.
They want this next album to be insanely awesome. That makes me excited.
Until they figure out a new formula, Maynard will continue touring with Puscifer and perhaps working on new APC stuff.
And that too is awesome.

You're doing both and yet when other people express their opinions that differ from yours, you discount it and make that comment I quoted and start threads like, "I'm Starting to Question the Musical Tastes of Most Posters on this Board". That was the main purpose of my original post but it also happens to be a good description of 10,000 Days.
