Why would Barbe be a select school??
Posted on 9/28/13 at 8:45 am to ThisWayChad
I was under the impression that it was a catholic school. Now I see that it is a public school, I guess that is a compliment to the image of that school.

I am not so sure. Barbe only seems to use him as needed, and will not pad his stats just for the record. The coaches do a great job of taking advantage of teams paying too much attention to him by using misdirection and getting other players involved. They are also much more balanced this year and are running the ball very well. I get just as much satisfaction out of watching him do all the little things that help teams win (run blocking, saving touchdowns on INTS, etc).

I just hope that his skills serve him well at the next level...and they should!

I would hope the coaches realize what a team player this kid is, how hard he has worked to be the best he can be and give him every chance to break these records to reward him. I'm sure Fontenot would love to be apart of this and will do everything he can to just keep feeding the rock to Quinn...

Quinn = beast. I hope he breaks the record and then sets a few more for LSU. Ridiculously talented young man.

Fontenot hit on 27-of-41 passes, 13 of those completions going to wide receiver Trey Quinn for 247 yards and a score.
From The Daily Advertiser in Lafayette.

So with that said, going by what the Original Poster states:
quote:
Figured I'd make a stat tracker since he's now four games away from getting the state record. Through 5 games Treys current stats are...
833 yds and 8tds- needs 472 to break Bootys record
Needs 814 to break national record by Dorial Green-Beckham
He's got a minimum of 5 games an maximum of 10 games left
833 yds + 247 yds = 1,080 yds
8 TDs + 1 TD = 9 TDs
225 yards till State Record
567 yards till National record
Getting closer...
------------
Edit: After looking at Max prep, the numbers from the OP and what's listed on their site doesn't add up.
They have Trey for the following:
Freshman year - 1,288 yards
Sophomore year - 1,220 yards
Junior year - 2,141 yards
---
Total from first three years = 4,649 yards
LSWA had Trey at 605 yards through 4 games (missing last night's game of 247 yards).
605 + 247 = 852 yards
Abram Booty's career yards record = 5,867 yards
Dorial Green-Beckham's National Record 6,356 yards
National Record
Trey is at 5,501 yards for right now.
So that means 366 yards till he ties the state record with Booty and 855 yards till he ties the national record.

I had added the 225 to last weeks numbers before you added the 247. He will break the state record in a week or two has a strong possibility of breaking national before end of regular season
