Against the only decent defense they played, their offense was pathetic. Against the only decent offense they played, their defense was pathetic.

The Tide will be exposed as pretenders this year, maybe as soon as the Ole Miss game.

Thing is, we hear that same exact thing every year. So, you know, we are kind of used to it.

Wow!!! Great complimentary perspective and much appreciated from a huge tiger fan. Every lsu fan realizes this year is gonna be a grind for sure. Way too many great sec teams to face (Georgia, tamu, bama, Florida, etc...) for most realistic LSU fans to believe a national championship is a sure thing this year. Is it possible? Sure. Is it likely? No. I also believe most of the aforementioned teams better have a mutual respect for each other this year.

"The defense is very athletic and well-coached."

Athletic yes. They have an amazing collection of talent annually, on par with UF and Alabama at the top of the SEC.

Well-Coached? Chavis is a great schemer, but LSU is perennially one of the least disciplined good teams around on defense. Stupid, self-inflicted penalties galore

I would respect A&M more if every one of their traditions wasn't so homoerotic, like they way you just intentionally gave everyone on the Rant a half chub with your slick deceitful words. You can't fool me demon! GTFO

I don't think the majority of your fan base shares this point of view.

Don't say you don't give a damn what an Aggie thinks because you read the Subject line and clicked to see.

Texas A&M fans think LSU has a great football program that never actually seems to decline. Since the 2007 NC, your program has had the reputation of THE football team others are most concerned to play. The mystique of Tiger Stadium is real.

Your offense is very precise in the passing game and thus fully capable of establishing the run with relative ease. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be this good. It could be one of the soundest pro-style offenses in college.

The defense is very athletic and well-coached. They surround the ball on most every play. They're getting better too. Lose 11 to the NFL, then add a future 11 NFLers to replace them. That's just the way it appears. And, it's not just talent.

Overall, Les Miles is tremendously underrated as a coach. He is the most important thing a coach can be. He's "effective". To our disappointment, your program will never decline with Les Miles as the head coach.

From my point of view, you are the front runner. I believe, with no proof, that Alabama fans are actually very concerned, if not fearful, of your matchup with them.

I would not be at all surprised to see near future National Championships, perhaps even this year.

Flame away. Just thought some of you would like to know we are more than impressed with the LSU football program.

Thank you for the kind words bro. Honestly, a lot of us LSU fans thought we were a Cam Cam away from national title after national title, while sunshine pumpers said to leave e wry thing alone and let's keep finishing 2nd in the West! This offense always had the tools, it was just missing the Cam Cam! Y'all have a very nice program too bro!!

Professionally I've worked with many aggies and I'll tell you what, they are straight shooters, no nonsense and get the damn job done.

Me too. Work ethic, positive attitude and respect. My co-worker will tell you about the respect the students are taught. They will not walk on the grass of their campus as it is dedicated to fallen soldiers. Stand up guy. I appreciate the Aggie post and I am glad y'all have joined the SEC.

Thanks for a little honesty and humility. Don't get that much anymore. Shows some class.

Oh I hope not! I want them unbeaten when we return to T Town 11/9. I want to beat #1. Otherwise Clemson will play the winner of Oregon and Stanford while the SEC beats each other up. That and Ole Miss does not need to get worked up.

Thanks! I was having you guys [aTm] going 11-1 this season with the only loss to LSU. :( To reflect on what you are saying. The difference betweeen this year and last year offensively is that the receivers are catching the ball. I think about OBJ last year catching a 53 yard pass against Florida and then fumbling it when that play could have maybe even allowed us to win the game to making huge plays this year. Jarvis Landry has become outstanding with his strength and athleticism to go up and grab the balls. Now, Mettenberger is being precise with his passing. His long ball is on target this year where last year he over threw wide open wide receivers often. Now take that and add in LSU's always great running game you have the most consistent offense in the SEC PERIOD. Our defense has a bunch of nega-tigers this year, but in reality we have been putting in our B and C team and our A team just doesnt care at some points when playing our last two games, but they are growing. We will learn a lot about LSU tomorrow in its SEC opener against an always tough opponent in Auburn. IDC what anyone says Auburn and LSU always play tough games no matter how good/bad one of our teams are.
