re: Is it a given that we lose both Landry AND Beckham next year?

I really think there is zero chance either come back, unless there is some sort of season ending injury, God forbid.

They are great for LSU, but it is hard to see these guys as anything more than third or fourth rounders due to lack of speed. Regardless, I hope they get on the Dorsey, Whitworth, etc. train and stay for their senior years.
You don't need a first round grade for a WR or RB. Landry is the total package and Beckham is an all purpose machine. Both will go over 1000 and 10 TDs for the season if this keeps up. The worse thing you can do as a top WR is come back after your QB leaves You have no idea who will connect more with the QB and who will be his favorite. Plus you don't know how he'll play. Don't be silly.

Landry is comparable to Michael Clayton but with more speed. I dont see either being able to improve on their weaknesses,
Landry's only weakness is that he's not 2 inches taller and really, you can't just change that with practice.

midget WR's aren't really a huge commodity. I dont see why they wouldnt come back. Maybe 1 would make a boneheaded choice, but i cant see both
You're usually fairly sharp; not this time, though.
Both will be very productive starters in the NFL.

Lester Earl? Now where have I heard that name before?
anyway, it sure doers sound like you are talking out of the side of your neck about their height. Landry is not short and is a very physical receiver as a blocker, ST player and CBs can't just bully him in Bump and run s to get him out of his timing with Mett. Without looking at the roster measurable, OBJ should be a hair over 6 ft which is fine for a quick slot guy who returns punts in the NFL.
Shite, I would love to be Trindon Holiday's manager these days even if he is a midget to you. You sure do seem like a fcknut.

I can't argue anything here but I will add that the players all seem to have a huige amount of faith in Jennings along with the staff's putting him over an impressive Rivers who by all the reviews should be a good enough replacement himself next year.
I am one of those guys who can't help from dream of what this team would have looked like over the last five years if our early departures would have stayed for their last years. Just looking at this year's team with the extra seniors who left would be like a dream team from the old Miami glory dys. Too bad nobody but us ever thinks along these lines because it would be some great props to CLM from the talking heads on ESPN.

Before this season, I'd say no chance in hell, but after the first 3 games it's appearing that they will be gone. There are however a lot more games to go, so we will see.

A few recent 1st round WRs..
DeAndre Hopkins 6'1 214 lbs ran a 4.57 (1st round)
Justin Blackmon 6'1 210 lbs ran a 4.46 (1st round)
Michael Floyd 6'3 220 lbs ran a 4.47 (1st round)
Kendall Wright 5'10 196 lbs ran a 4.61 (1st round)
A.J Jenkins 6'0 190 lbs ran a 4.39 (1st round)
Odell Beckham Jr. 6'0 193 lbs
Jarvis Landry 6'1 195 lbs
If they both wanted they could easily get into the 205 range before the combine. There's a good history of productive WRs around their size getting drafted in the first or second round.

Yep, the NFL isn't as hung up on height as much these days. They still like the taller WRs, but are finding that guys who are shorter can be big time players.

He's crazy. Marqise Lee and Sammy Watkins will both be drafted in the top 2 rounds and they are both 6'1. Brandin Cooks will be a top 3 round WR.
11WRs went in the first 3 rounds earlier this year. Four were under 6ft and six were under 6'2.

Anyone that thinks that Landry couldn't become a "wes welker" type of reciever in the NFL, just hasn't been paying attention.

It's because of the TE's probably

Landry could be better than Hines Ward 2001-2009 good. 9 year stretch where he was 25 yards away TWICE from having 8 1000 yard seasons. Sure handed, strong WR who blocks great and hits like a DB.
He's also like Nuk Hopkins with the same ridiculous body control.

That and it's a passing league, so you need more people to catch balls and get yards after the catch.

both are undersized receivers without blazing speed
