I was kind of looking forward to ragging my ASU friends about having a terrible coach who unnecessarily goes for two in the 3rd quarter and manages the clock terribly with the ball and two minutes to play. But as we know, Todd Graham was bailed out.

Still mad about that shite
Without that, we might have played in the national championship game (and lost )

I respect conferences that admit when the referees make a mistake.
The SEC never does that.
The SEC publically admitted they were wrong after the UGA/LSU game in 09 as well as after the UGA/gt game in '99, both of which featured terrible calls that either directly (tech) or indirectly (lsu) led to UGA losing.

Yes, and your opinion is obviously misguided and ignorant...and not shared by anyone with common sense, nor shared by the people who evaluate the performance of those you were so blindly supporting yesterday.
My friend who is a college football official told me that the college football official community is divided on whether or not these guys were wrong, and as I said yesterday, it's kind of a "letter of the law" vs. "spirit of the law" debate. The officials didn't do anything incorrectly or else the Pac-12 would have cited a rule that wasn't followed. By saying that stuff about "high standard" and what not, that's in the same infield as saying "the spirit of the rule wasn't followed." I think we all agree that it would have been nice had the officials been a step or two quicker, and that's basically what the Pac-12 is saying here, and I agree with them. They're also refraining from saying that the officials officiated incorrectly, and I agree with that refraint (word?).
As far as Wisconsin is concerned, the thing they should take from this is that that was a stupid risk to take. They screwed up.

No one has said they did anything incorrectly. It isn't like the umpire picked the ball up, ran a lap around the field, walked it back to the other hash, and then spotted it 10 yards down the field from where it should have been. It has always been about them dicking around, wasting time, and not having a sense of urgency.
Wisconsin's only mistake was assuming the crew was competent enough to handle the situation.

Wisconsin should have kicked the FG on 3rd down with no timeouts left.
None of this would have happened.

The P12 officials never seem to live up to that "high standard." I guess by mentioning "high standard" we may eventually get there.
For now, the P12 officials suck moose crank.

And if they had scored 70 points they wouldn't have needed a last second field goal. But the situation was the situation, and there was plenty enough time to center the ball in the middle of the field. It isn't like it was some sort of crazy decision.
Had Andersen known the officials were not going to be capable of handling the situation like most competent crews I'm sure he wouldn't have taken the chance.

I was there as well.
I don't know about you but none of us thought anything shady had happened in the stadium...it was only when we got home and saw the replays on the TV...oh, wow...
OU fans were class, but also because they didn't know about the screw-job.
And to think, Sooners almost had it and it took a block FG after all that craziness.
Wackiest ending to a game I've ever witnessed given all the ups and downs.

Well, it was a close back and forth game, and them getting the CHANCE to kick it doesn't mean it was automatic. To say they dont deserve it is a bit misleading.
Never said it was. But to have the officials take the game away from them.
awful.
But then again Pac 12 officials have a long history of being god awful this is nothing new to us out here.

you're worse then the ASU homers on their forums. The spin machine is in full gear there.

Graham is really the worst.
Going for 2 when he did was stupid and put them in the position that a field goal would beat them.
Calling a defensive time out at the end zone which gave Wisconsin the change to decide how they wanted to score.
Throwing the ball with under two minutes to go which stopped the clock and gave Wisconsin more time to drive down the field.
The list is pretty endless.
A lot of the local people have bought into his bullshite. I pray to the football gods their next three opponents expose just how bad of a coach he actually is.

If he didn't know what Pac 12 officials are like already, then he's clueless.

Are people really arguing Wisconsin didn't get hosed?

The refs aren't blameless, but even if the spot that ball 3 or 4 seconds faster, I still don't think Wisconsin hikes/spikes the ball before the clock gets to the :03

If he's a terrible coach, I'll take that over the trash that's coached ASU the last 15 years.
