I would say car insurance but his premium would be too high. He gets tapped and folds.

God, these threads are terrible. They're even worse than Ingram's performances.

We know he's not awesome. He's still a Saint. And I don't think he's getting released. Barring a trade, he's going to merely be benched, if that. So, just hope that the coaching staff realizes that Pierre Thomas is their best runner and they go with that.

I wouldn't say terrible. Maybe below par.

But worse than Ingram's performance? Come on, man.

Yeah, it's that bad. I don't mean to pick on you or this thread in particular, but it's beating a dead horse.

Maybe if he gave back his Heisman like ole Reggie then he would improve. Doubtful but I look at it like this, a Heisman running back drafted by the Saints is just like a Heisman QB coming out of the state of Fla...... not worth it!!

He'll go some place else and in a different system and be a good back. Peace out to him!!!

I have long been an Ingram-hater hater. I hate the Ingram hate threads and I usually try to err on the side of common sense with my Ingram knight posts.

But there is absolutely no excuse for him not getting into the endzone during that goal line series before the half. Not one damn excuse.

This is all I want, with all that is holy, please just bench the guy. Maybe he can play special teams? I don't know, but please don't use him at RB. Somebody please start a petition or whatever it takes. That's all I want...

I also have a HUGE problem with getting a good run out of Thomas, then they run 7 straight passes from the shotgun. It's frustrating as dick.

I was pumped watching Sean give into Drew pleading to go for it at the end of the half...and then I saw Ingram on the field and the joy quickly turned to horror

Two runs that should've been a TD on that series, and both times he failed. I agree; no excuse. Then to watch The Frenchman take a run on that series in which he had no right to gain anything get to the 1 (yet somehow be spotted at the 2) while being hit by 5 different Bucs really drove home how terrible MI is as a short yardage back.

Now for my Ingram defense. He is not a terrible RB. He has a major limitation though in that he needs a difinitive hole in order to be succesful. As he illustrated on two different runs in this game, once he gets his momentum he can make people miss and carry them for further yards.

This is why he is not a good NFL back, because it's not often when there are 3ft holes for RB to run through. A successful NFL RB must be able to squeeze through holes that aren't there, i.e. create holes based on the blocking. In college, he ran through these huge holes all the time thus his success.
