There shouldn't be much concern over LSU beating a mediocre TCU team by 10

LSU should have beaten them by 3 TDs with the way the game was played. You can't take anything out of LSU playing close games under Miles. Outside of 2011, LSU doesn't blow the doors off of teams over .500.
10 points virtually on the road is a good win even if TCU is a 6-6 or 7-5 team. LSU's played much closer games than that against even worse teams and won 10 or more games.
LSU's offense is a difference maker this season.

Helped expose our Defense, which is good, early. Now, time to fix it.

A win is a win. Anyone who watched that game knew who the far better team was regardless of the final score. If anyone is concerned, I don't know why. You win and move on to the next one.

No concern here. We're 2-0. All is good in the world.

A win is a win. LSU will probably win the national championship this year with all of the upsets that have been going on. I hope it winds up being Clemson vs LSU.
Our secondary is no slouch, the defense kept us in every game we played in because they generally come up and make plays a crucial moments. Our offense tonight looked worse than every Jordan Jefferson led LSU team that I've watched.

All of the upsets? Sorry but TCU losing tonight wasn't much of an upset. Clemson beating Georgia not an upset. Miami beating UF, maybe, but UF wasn't going anywhere near a title this year. Besides some second tier D1 teams going down to some top tier D1AA teams, there haven't been any upsets that effect the landscape of the NC.
Now if Tennessee beats Bama or Oregon loses to Utah, come talk to me.
Would love to see your Clemson vs LSU prediction though.

Good point. I didn't say TCU losing tonight was an upset though. I think it's funny that Tech stormed the field after the game. Just shows that we are their super bowl, even if we have a mediocre team this year.

TCU has not beat Tech in Lubbock since 1991.

I never understood why people compare one matchup with another later in the season. LSU/TCU had a lot of emotion tied in it for TCU. The players themselves were calling it their Superbowl.
Having that much invested into one game and coming up short can definitely affect a team's psychy.
I'm glad we won and wouldn't want it any other way. But I wonder how TCU would've looked tonite if they would have beaten us in that season opener. Maybe all those mental mistakes that cost them wouldn't have happened.

Not really valid. LSU hadn't beaten Bama at home in 31 years but beat a 3-5 Bama team in 2000 to end that streak. Just because we hadn't beaten them in so long doesn't mean we weren't favorites. Just like TCU was tonight.

The negatiger in my family was convinced by the transitive property tonight. TCU sucks, so we suck

The TCU game and the second quarter of the UAB game served to expose weaknesses in our defense. Our secondary is ordinary and our LB play needs improvement. Hopefully, Chief has the fixes in the works and ready to go before Auburn.
TCU losing tonight just confirms that the weaknesses aren't because of the quality of the opponents we faced. We will face much tougher in the SEC.

We're gonna try the all freshmen secondary approach.
And if we can get Welter out of the starting lineup, I think that would pay off sooner rather than later.

And so it was on here during the game last night...panic mode all around...pitiful.

I agree, plus the refs completely screwed TCU. Still ugly but TCU should have won.

Your an idiot. How did TCU score their points? Who did we have in the game on D in the 2nd quarter against UAB? I suggest you watch both of the games over and over again until you understand. It's amazing how stupid people are when they don't pay attention. I guess you think we should fire Les Miles too. Idiot!!!

TCU is also without their starting QB for the rest of the season. Apples and oranges. Home dog on a Thursday night is a gambler's payday.

TCU dominated the 2nd half until the back up QB for Tech came in...
The calls in that game were awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TCU was the better team by far, but winning on the road with your back up QB is never easy...sorry you guys lost

Remember that TCU had all summer to prepare for LSU and I believe that we not only took their best shot
but also took IT out of them...literally....also we have been experimenting with different combos at LB and at CB...now it even looks like SS and FS are ups for grabs....Kent will be the last practice game before SEC play to solidify starting positions...and the vets. will be going all out to keep their position...good luck with that! GO Tigers!
