Here's a link to an interesting story on Yahoo suggesting that Alabama, Tennessee and Miss State paid some football players. I recognize Yahoo Sports isn't exactly the FBI, but they have receipts etc and is worth reading.

And this story has more actual evidence than the entire five part SI one.

IIRC Yahoo sports was the one who broke the Manti Teo fake girlfriend story. So they are somewhat credible.

The identities of these players were revealed in a web of financial and text message records belonging to former Crimson Tide defensive end Luther Davis. The records were turned over to Yahoo Sports by a source with ties to the NFL agent community who alleged that Davis was acting as an intermediary between several high-profile college football stars and multiple NFL agents and financial advisers.
Remember when we wanted this guy at LSU? Maybe we shouldn't panic so much when we lose one to Bama..

This s what i was referting to about LSU payung players. Its obvious that other schools outbid us. For example, Luther Davis.
We lose out on players all the time. so we either arent paying them, or we are not paying enough.

Miles is a genius...turns out Davis was a plant to bring about the end of Saban...pure genius...
Edit: BTW, while I don't think Miles is necessarily squeaky clean, I fully expect years down the road that Saban will be revealed to be perhaps the dirtiest coach in the history of college football. It is more than just a hunch too. And no, I could care less if you believe me...I wouldn't believe some random poster saying it either...when it happens though, well...

Deadspin was.
All these things should be taken with some grains of salt but Charles Robinson definitely does a more thorough job than say Thayer Evans. Just in this story he actually has some documents instead of a mountain of hearsay.

Any connection between Luther Davis and Cameron Robinson or Robinson's handlers?

Luther acted like a moron during his recruitment, even taking into account he was 17.

Everybody's doing a brand new dance now..... Come on Baby do the Locomotion~ You could unearth everything if someone wanted to take the time.... Apparently some people have nothing more to do. Now that cell phones and texts are traceable it's ridiculous. Just leave me alone!

'Don't throw bricks when you live in a glass house' nothing particularly dangerous about throwing bricks at glass houses if you don't.

R U serious? Bama was on probation when they violated the rules. The NCAA gave them.........wait for it..............more probation.
Bama responded by suing the NCAA
If Nick $abun was caught on video, in bed, with a dead boy scout, which bama admins furnished him with, nothing would happen.
