Pathetic. They, just like soccer, need to institute a rule where a player who gets "injured" has to sit out of the game for a certain amount of time and it should be a significant amount.

I can't believe these guys are so gutless as to get on board with disgracing themselves like that.

It was from a discussion about Cal being pissed at Northwestern, when Cal was actually disciplined in 2010 for doing the same thing against Oregon.

If the offense feels they get an advantage by hurrying plays; i have no problem with the defense doing this. I wouldn't have a problem with injured players having to sit the remainder of a drive or for the NFL to mandate a certain period between first downs (similar to how the clock stops in college) to allow for full substitutions.

Make it the rest of the drive. It should all but eliminate this type of stuff, and if a player actually is injured to the point where he needs medical attention on the field and the game to stop, he should probably be out for at least the series anyway to be checked on, and then he can go back in on the next one.

Soccer already accounts for it with stoppage time. Soccer doesn't need to change, but thanks for the awesome suggestion

Agreed. I think having to sit out the rest of the possession or something similar would alleviate a lot of these problems
