You're right, but that really only applies to 2011. In 2009 and 2012 they didn't really need any help.

2011 is a pretty significant year.

2011 was a very good year for LA... really good talent.. kids played early for LSU and didnt drag out their commitments.. some committed as early as their junior years.

seems like the media frenzy have made kids attention starved and buy into it alot

Actually they got help in 2012 as well. Ohio state and Notre Dame were the two undefeated teams at the end of the season and it just so happened Ohio State was ineligible for post season play.

That has nothing to do with the media. Plus, OSU would still have to win the Big 10 championship game (they probably would have but it wasn't guaranteed).

True, maybe if we would have shown up in New Orleans the perception of the program wouldn't be so negative.

just saying, we have guys on the team at wr like fobbs and williams who have not played at all. the fact that they got a schollie hasn't hurt the LSU program. one schollie out of 85 is not worth as much as this board seems to believe.

I'm sure we would have had a different attitude about that game had we played someone we hadn't already beaten. Probably would have done better if we hadn't practiced at the Saints facility also.

Let's just ignore all the outside help Saban seems to get and just say that he's better than everyone else in the universe ever.

I understand this somewhat, but it was the National Championship. If Miles can't get his team up for that then he recruited the wrong guys.

He does have luck on his side but he is also the best coach in CFB.

So your saying you would rather give a scholly to a guy who could turn out to be a potential cancer on your team. A guy who doesn't work hard and could possibly influence other players to not work hard. Don't get me wrong im not saying cameron sims is a cancer but , he did prove to les that he does not want to work to join his program. Les as he should believes being a tiger is a privilege and it's somethingg that is earned not given. Jarrett Fobb came to camp earned an offer as did Armand Williams. So you can keep naming kids names who don't play much but are assets to our program that came in and proved they wanted to work hard to be part of our program.

As soon as the tv guy said the name Simms, C Rob got the biggest smile on his face and stared saying yeah before the question was finished. C Rob said "I'm looking at him (Simms) right now, we go back to 3rd grade, he's like my little brother. That was extremely influential in my decision."

I am not so sure about that being extremely influential. I mean, he did transfer to another high school team. However I am sure the events leading to his eligibility was just a coincidence and had nothing to do with football.

Your mind is made up about it. I'm done here.

I personally don't think the best coach in football should need as much outside help as he does, but hey, keep on ball washing. And make sure to spread the message to your friends. There aren't enough people in Louisiana waiting to suck Saban's dick while wanting Miles gone.

Pretty sure he could've played specials teams or blocked a guy here or there!

Then you get CRob and you don't risk Hootie going to Bama b/c CRob is in his ear!

Blow 1 scholly for 2 players...sure I'd do it!

not players like (kenny bell) who are going to quit on you mid season because they arn't happy with their playing time.

I don't believe him on this part. He is a 5th year senior that pratices with the team, it should not be any surprise to him that the other receivers would get more playing time.

With that said, I believe it is more about his personal (off the field) issues and that he is starting to accept that this is probably the end of the road for him.

You don't sell out principles of your program for one kid. You no principle sons of bitches. The program is what it is because Les recruits the way he does. Get with his process or become a gump fan. Deal with it.

It's not about "having principles" or "the program."

It's about keeping the top rated prospects from spurning THE home state school and going to THE in-division rival!

LSU, Les Miles, and whoever else running the LSU football program should do whatever it takes to make sure AlaFREAKINGBama of all schools doesn't come in OUR state and get OUR players....even if that means offering some scrub to get the states #1 or 2 player!

And don't pop off and tell people who get angry go become Bama fans. That's freaking retarded!
