My dad got it for me at a gun show about 15-20 years ago. I think it was made back in the late 60s or early 70s. He just bought me a browning this year so I took that as a sign that he didn't mind me selling it. I've had trouble with the auto reload functionality for the past ten years and haven't been able to fix it on my own. I took it to the gun shop today and they said it would be $80 to fix. So I sold it to him for $50.

So you sold a gun worth 200-300 for $50?

We paid $150 for it so I don't think you would have paid that much for it.

You should have definitely just paid the $80 to fix it.

You could have at least fixed it for $80 then sold it and gained $200 instead of $50

I will never sell another gun. I have in the past but used the funds to buy another.

I have an ole Winchester 1400 12Ga without a buttstock. I figured I'm best off to hold on to it. May replace the stock one day.

I couldn't fit it in my gun safe and it's just been sitting on the top shelf in my closet. I'm sure he made money off me. It's a business so I'm not going to be sore about an old man making a few bucks off me.

What was wrong with it?

Next time, fix it and keep it.
