Go watch it now. 75 years at the same job. Jiru is the man.

I wish we had 1% of that level of dedication and discipline here in the US.

When I observe a left handed person I put the sushi on that side of the plate.

I give the women smaller pieces of sushi so they finish eating it the same time the men do.

I watched it last night. The whole operation is so dedicated. It's incredible.

The amount of food prep is ridiculous.

He has a great relationship with the markets also. He carries a lot of respect. His place looked like it was underground.

Good movie. It's slow, but it's about a dude making sushi, so that should surprise no one.

I want to eat there.

exactly the point.

i love how in the first few seconds, they show him pushing some rice under a piece of tuna and putting it on a plate for a guy to eat as Jiro nods slightly to the guy along with the phrase 'simplicity at its finest'...

..then the next 1 1/2 hours goes into incredible detail about how they handle the layout of the restaurant, how they pick the food, how they pick the people working there, how they pick the rice and finally how they 'interact' with the 10 customers who are lucky enough to eat there.

I enjoyed the movie especially in regards to Jiro's attention to detail.

Also, it made me hungry.

I watched this several months ago. The amount of apprentice time that he requires from his staff is amazing.

Jiro and Dr. Bao really inspire me with their hard work and wonderful morals.
