great documentary.

didnt really eat sashimi before i watched this, now its all i eat when we go eat japanese.

That documentary made me hungry. I love good food and when a chef respects his art, the world offers so much in amazing cuisine.

It's great to see how the food and culture of areas go hand and hand.

good flick, but is sushi really that complicated/ how is he better then the other sushi chefs?

Yes it is. The cooking of the rice is a unique process. Having the eye to know the best cut from the best available fish. the ppreparation, the observation of the chef to please his customers.

with this particular story, it goes beyond sushi. This man's dedication just happens to be with sushi. But yeah, anyone who enjoys sushi would probably prefer his over wal mart pre packaged.
