It Appears Loomis Made the Right Decision Concerning Meachem

Last offseason many thought that losing Robert Meachem & the aging of Devery Henderson would hurt the Saints receiving corps but with the drafting & development of Nick Toon & Kenny Stills, those thoughts seem to be an afterthought.
It's really beginning to look like the Saints definitely made the right call in not retaining Meachem.

One person familiar with the situation told Acee emphatically that Meachem is "broken down," that his body has degenerated since his days with the New Orleans Saints from 2007 to 2011.

I'm sorry to hear that. He still had one of the greatest plays in Saints history, the strip and score I personally witnessed at Washington.

If you give him credit for making the right decision to part with Meachem/Devery, you also have to take some credit away for wasting a 1st round pick on Meachem.
Let's hope ingram/vaccaro make something of themselves to redeem Loomis' first round pick credibility.

Everyone knows that Brees make his WRs. I wasn't upset to see Meach leave and thought San Diego overpaid.
