It Appears Loomis Made the Right Decision Concerning Meachem

Last offseason many thought that losing Robert Meachem & the aging of Devery Henderson would hurt the Saints receiving corps but with the drafting & development of Nick Toon & Kenny Stills, those thoughts seem to be an afterthought.
It's really beginning to look like the Saints definitely made the right call in not retaining Meachem.

One person familiar with the situation told Acee emphatically that Meachem is "broken down," that his body has degenerated since his days with the New Orleans Saints from 2007 to 2011.

I'm sorry to hear that. He still had one of the greatest plays in Saints history, the strip and score I personally witnessed at Washington.

That play is the greatest play in Saints history. He deserved better in my opinion. If they cut him. We should pick him up even for just 1 day to let him retire A SAINT

I don't think that will happen if this is true:

Meachem was caught running lazy routes during Thursday's preseason game.

Yeah, I saw him playing with the 3's and 4's Thursday night.

I can remember Dick Stockon and that other douche announcer repeatedly saying that the play was down by contact. They were so blatantly pulling against the Saints the whole game. It was the most pissed I can remember being about the announcers.

They were actually jizzing their pants when Brees threw the touchdown to Meachem to tie it up.
I've watched that game quite a few times, one of my favorites.

I also remember bringing my son to school the next morning, and the announcers unprofessionalism being a topic on WWL radio. They were definitely pulling for the Skins.

Doesn't matter anyway, it was a win. I didn't hear much from Stockton that showed favoritism, now the other guy, maybe.

And nicks.
Can't argue with that based on what he's done at Tampa. But for the Saints, Nicks >>>>>>>>>>>>Grubbs

I remember this as well. I was fuming.
