There's no fricking way a cop should be allowed to do that.
Tiger spin-machine in full effect. So some people heard it was the cop's fault. Who cares? That's like saying Jeremy Hill wasn't guilty until the cell-phone video showed up.
I just don't know why bother defending Miles when it's clear he's prioritizing on-field performance over media embarrassment and internal chemistry. It is what it is. Does every coach do this? Sure, so why try to spin the only facts? Everyone knows what a cop is and only people with giant egos convince themselves they can talk back to them.
Dude's bro gets caught selling pot, and Miles doesn't flinch. Then dude gets hit with a felony charge and Miles signs him up. He's not from the Calliope but Destrehan doesn't exactly have a concentration of high-income residents. High chance this dude gets in trouble again at LSU, and as fans we'll be the ones hearing about it. Do I really only care about what happens on Saturdays? Sure, but I don't really see the point in defending Miles's discipline / character evaluation anymore.

You know absolutely shite about this incident, so stop talking like you know all the facts about Jefferon's actions or his character.
It's clear you can't separate him from his brother.

Not everyone has your X-Ray vision to be able to see a cop's badge hidden under plain clothes.

You would have Miles judge one sibling(sp?) because of the actions of the other? That isn't fair. I don't think your brother and/or sister is a dummy because of you.

Have you ever been there?

Have you ever?
You Sabanistas never give up do you?

This happened in February? How did they keep it quiet so long?

lolwut? You're trying too hard.
This was pretty well documented that multiple witnesses said the cops failed to identify themselves until after they started cuffing the boys. It happened in a pretty crowded place. I've not seen one report come out that conflicted with the boys accounts.

It wasn't kept quiet. It happened during Mardi Gras and was news then.

Is that because "low-income residents" are thugPOS or b/c "high-income residents" don't go to jail?
I'll hang up and listen.

The arrest was known. The plea is "news".

It's clear you can't separate him from his brother.
JJ got arrested after he played at LSU, and this should've tipped Miles off that RJ didn't have good influences in his life. Then he gets arrested before signing day for F'ing with a cop of all things and you still take his LOI??
Imagine getting arrested during the interview process for a job. Do your potential employers still hire you?? Of course not. Yet LSU football is a business, and Miles ignores character evidence before committing a scholly to the kid. If you're saying the risk is worth the reward because he's a great player and all that matters is W's, fine, but don't tell me F'ing with a cop is understandable because they shouldn't have authority in the 1st place.
I just think it's a bad business move b/c it's hard for any red-blooded college guy to get through college without an arrest, let alone guys that have a record before they finish high school.

I think that was well established by his first post in this thread.
Take your pick. He is either really stupid, really old, or just a troll.

No we're telling you that the kids didn't know he was a cop. You don't seem to understand that.

Collins was "clearly visible as a police officer," according to the report.
Who knows what actually happened. Sounds like this will be put behind Ricky and hopefully he can avoid any more run-ins with the law. I wouldn't put my money on it though.

No, it's that he doesn't care or simply refuses to accept two black youths could be telling the truth while a fine upstanding white officer would be fudging his report. For frick's sake...the honor student who was initially told to stop cursing by the undercover cop has a/both parents that are cops if I recall correctly. Are we seriously expected to believe this kid is going to KNOWINGLY mouth off to a cop when he has a parent that is one?

I'll take all three for $500 Alex.
These Bama alters get sillier by the day.

So where did you read that RJ's friend walked up to a guy he knew to be a cop and mouthed off to him?
Since when does randomly mouthing off to someone justify getting put in handcuffs? Was he inciting a riot?
So you mean to tell me that if you witnessed some guy putting his hands on your friend that you would just stand there and watch?
