Im seriously considering picking one of these up. Anyone have any experience with this gun, or the Ruger SR models in general? Pros, cons? Reliability?

Really like the one we have.
Full size Ruger SR9
two stage trigger, dbl stacked mag but offset in a way that keeps the grip appropriate but not too wide, has a good balance in the hand, safety and slide lock are in good position, adequate trigger guard for big hands even with a glove on but not overly bulky.
I find it to be a good shooting gun with good accuracy. I have only put about 200 rds through it but have never had a failure of any kind.
The composite and black anodized stainless construction is nice if you tend to sweat as you don't have to worry as much about rust.
The only thing I do not like is the loaded chamber indicator position. When a round is in the chamber (the only way to carry) the indicator is up. It sticks up above the slide and can hang on your holster as it goes in. It does not hang during the draw phase though.

I did notice that, but I dont think it's a deal breaker for me. It looks like a rock solid firearm.

I have owned an SR9c (the compact version) for about 2.5 years now. It is bang-for-buck one of the best firearms available on the market. I have run anywhere from 5-7k rounds through it and it continues to run like a top.
I'm on my phone right now so I can't link my YouTube page now, but I can add links later to my review videos.
If you wish to look them up on your own, my channel is Bigapple0828. Look for "Ruger SR9c Review" and "Ruger SR9c Update". I have carried this gun for a while and the LCI has never been up too high to prevent me getting it into a holster.
My one strongest dislike from the factory were the sights. I changed them out for a fiber optic set. Watch my videos to see the difference.
I will edit later to add direct links.

Hell I like the sights
Edit: I've got the SR9, SR1911, SR22 & the Mrs has the SRC9 all still have the factory sites

Chamber indicator tab.....slightly file the edge to smoothly slide into the holster? Doable?

Bought a SR9c for the wife. She and I both love it. Its very reliable, accurate and comfortable to shoot. It was dead on right out of the box.

I'm picky about my sights. My issues with these:
1. The rear dots were too small compared to the front one.
2. The point of impact was too high, no matter how much I lowered it.
3. The tops of the sights were rounded. I wanted a flat line all the way across. "Equal height, equal light," as they say.
The SR1911 sights I know for sure are different but I've never shot an SR22.
Glad you like your SR9c anyway! It's a hell of a piece.
EDIT: Forgot to mention I removed the magazine disconnect safety. I see no practical reason for a MDS on a concealed carry pistol.

The LCI does not get in the way of holsters. Holsters made for the SR9c already have enough clearance. They are shorter than the sights anyway so the holster has enough clearance by default.
But you can file some of it away or get the LCI kit from Galloway, as one person said.

I've put 700 rounds through my SR9c since I first shot it in March. Not a single problem. It shoots every kind of ammo I've put through it (WWB, Blazer, Rem UMC, Independence, PMC, Herter's, and Rem Golden Saber 124 +P.

Well my old arse can't tell the difference in none of them with the sights. That's one of the reasons I like the Ruger is the sights are the same
