I'm looking for a good speck/red rod, 7ft or 7.6ft medium action. I saw some Waterloo Rods at academy, but don't know much about them. Any suggestions?

I'm in the process of making a custom rod right now, but taking my time on it. I bought two reels recently and need rods for them for this weekend. So I was looking to get one at a store. I had a 7.6 falcon coastal and loved it and may go back with that. But was looking for other suggestions as well. GLoomis is a bit too pricey, and I wanted to look at the st croixs as well

Falcon coastals are damn good rods.

I've looked at the veritas, I'm not sure I like the small foregrip. I'll be putting a spin reel on it, and it doesn't seem like that grip would be very comfortable. If it was for my curado then I think it would work well
Btw those are some really nice specks

Well,I was thinking you were looking for a Casting rod. Sorry.
And I do have a Curado on mine and it's light as a feather.
For spinning, have you looked at the Castaway Skeletons?
Those things are nice for spinning.
LINK$159.00
Also check out the Castaway Microwave spinning rods.

Friend of mine builds really nice custom rods. Geauxrods.com
He can make it any way you want. Can even use the microwave guides if you want them.
