It could also be EJ is awful at LM. I think just replacing him and switching to a 4-4-2 made all the difference. No slight to Fabian who is awesome and had a great game but I don't think he gives us much at LM that Landon wouldn't

He's left-footed and he's about as fast as Donovan on the left flank. Donovan is best as a withdrawn forward or as an attacking right winger. He's certainly capable of switching flanks, but he's never going to play the majority of a match on the left.

So say Fabian is slightly better than Donovan as a LM, would you rather a left side of Fabs at LB and cakes at LM or Beasley/Castillo at LB and Fabs at LM? Thereby forcing Landon to the bench or to RM with Zusi on the bench

What are you even babbling about? Fabs at LM and Cakes at RM is our best combo easily.
