Who else had one of these bad boys? It allowed everyone from a 5 year old to grandma to throw a spiral. They went pretty far too. Not out of the stadium like the commercial led you to believe but still pretty far.

Those things were incredible! Made every 8 year old look like an all pro.

I used to have a glow in the dark ball that would last a month or so.

I threw one about 100 yards at the beach once and nearly tore a ligament in my elbow

Just one? My brother and I had like 7 or 8 of those things through the years. Those things were hell on my elbow for some reason, though. I guess because we all thought if John Elway can throw one 150 yards, surely we could throw one at least 100.

a couple weeks ago in athens after coming home from downtown, a bunch of us were talking outside someone's apartment and a cop car pulls into the apartment complex across the street. as it is pulling in we hear a faint "whistling" growing louder heading towards the car. we immediately recognized the vortex as it narrowly missed the cop car from like 60 yards away. we went and got it and no one ever yelled to claim it or anything and that night has gone down as the best thing that has ever happened to us.

I delt with a partially torn labrum in high school, and I swear to God, I did it throwing one of those things for hours in the summer. Young and dumb

Oh yeah I had a couple of those bad boys. The Mark McGuire Vortex Bat was the shite too. Play home run derby with that and a bunch of tennis ball and you looked like a juice head.
