I just like to use the clip on corks, they've never failed me.

JAB, just like a regular cork for bream fishing? Does it not necessarily need to be a "popping cork"?

40lb line for inshore. Seems a bit much.
ETA: Disregard. Been discussed. Whatever floats your boat.

I'm probably just going to pick up a throwaway spinning combo at walmarks in GS, I'll just buy some decent line for it so I'm not totally slumming.

Now be aware we are saying 40# for the leader. For the spool I wouldn't go any more than 12.

Yeah, pretty much.
I have the 40 lb fluro for when you really need it ... Usually just use 20 lb
A rattletrap or two wouldn't hurt also
I'd also suggest the snap on popping cork ...all about finding the right depth

After this weekend I'm sold on the vudu shrimp. I fished the vudu shrimp all weekend long along side people fishing live bait. Caught just as many fish.

I don't see any hooks. I also put those gulp shrimp on jig heads. Bass assassin jig heads. They are some of the strongest you can find.

I couldnt find any Kahle Hooks at BPS. I will also pick up some jig heads, what size?
I have so many popping corks because there are quite a few other people fishing with me (dad, brother, uncle, cousin, pow pow, etc). Im not getting lures for everyone, my dad just grabbed that whole ring of corks.
On the clip on cork setup, what else do I need to make that work? (Beads, weights?)

Well don't see any jig heads, need 1/8 , 1/4, (I use 30 lb floro 6inch to a small barrel swivel.). The spooks are fine but a bone, chrome blue and a must have is one with chartreuse , my best one is chrartreuse , gold She Dog. Keep it simple.

For jig heads I would only get 1/4 and 3/8. The only time I've ever used 1/8 for saltwater is in the dead of winter or fishing under lights. Plus you will have trouble casting something so light more than likely.

Just a cork is what I use.

Sounds good to me, I would like to keep it as simple as possible.

I've caught more redfish on 1/8 oz jighead with chartreuse sparkle beetle tipped with shrimp under an egg cork than anything else. By a long shot
