Expand please? Didn't care for MoS as a film or the universe it created? Obviously those two entities can be separate.

I just have a hard time believing that Batman and Superman could exist in the same MoS universe. Justice League universe shouldn't be all that serious, like the Avengers universe is.

A Superman/Batman film for the MoS follow up is a terrible idea. The follow up needed to be a more thoughtful, smaller scale film with more focus on the character. Oh well.

Well they kind of shot their wad in MOS. I mean, how the hell are you supposed to raise the stakes after what happened?

A city the size of NYC was partially flattened. Hundreds of thousands are dead. A major world financial center is wasted.

It's hard to imagine a Batman villain being able to come anywhere near what Zod just did. Perhaps if Green Lantern hadn't sucked nuts they could have used Sinestro.

Can you imagine what Wonder Woman is going to be like in that universe? I sure can't.

Nice picture, but that wasn't really what I meant. She's one of the corniest superheroes and I just know they're gonna make her all dark and edgy.

That's the actress from Haywire right?

I think she'd work perfectly. As for the idea behind WW, it's an island that is not visible to humans so it could work anywhere.

Watch the 2009 animated movie. How they portray her there would work perfectly. The only thing they would need to change is her outfit some.

I feel like DC is going to force this cinematic universe while Marvel is at the peak of theirs and it will be nowhere near as successful.

Anything that gives us less of their shitty idea of who Superman is the better.

Cavill is great in the role, but they had him acting like an a-hole.

If you like DC's animated films, it's actually very good. I've recommended it to others on here.

Agreed. They completely shot their wad. I've said it, but it's as if a 13 year old made this film and didn't think through the full ramifications of what was happening on screen, because if he did, people at the end of the movie would be by no means cheerful at the end of it and wanting Superman's head on a spike.

Man of Steel is the antithesis to Superman Returns. Both of them got it wrong in the exact opposite way. While Superman does basically nothing in Superman Returns but lift heavy shite, there is at least nothing completely over the top that would make the public dislike him. Man of Steel is exciting, but Superman's presence directly led to an overly elaborate fight and battle scene. It goes completely off the walls. It is perfect MST3000 material.

Man of Steel should have been simpler and just made a small scale villain who is capable of kicking Superman's arse, and then you get to some real shite in either the sequel or Justice League movie. In the very least they should have gone with Brainiac over Zod, since at least Superman would not be responsible for his presence and actually save them.

I agree with that. Zod is the villain that he should've had to face after he had already made himself known.

It's a good thing that one of the best writers in Hollywood is on this and not OML. You are such a miserable hack with no vision or imagination.

Ron, you probably didn't notice it, but there was a small wink to Booster Gold in MoS.

How was Superman an a-hole in MoS?
