Of course some were their own doing others the victim of circumstances beyond their control.....

anyone remember the "other" rb from the class with James and Hilliard... was just as heavily recruited until week 8... when he suffered a severe knee injury.
Josh Booty made all SEC as a qb
Joe Mcknight had a decent NFL career...

Did he really? Holy shite. I guess i never noticed that since he was overshadowed by Rohan

I'd say pistol Pete
He enjoyed success in the NBA, but after his best season as a pro he never again played more than 49 games in one season
In
Fact at the height of his prime, he would be completely out of basketball just 3 seasons later.

1) Born & raised in Beaver County, PA
2) Is a member of the 50 Greatest Players in National Basketball Association History
Posted on 7/12/13 at 11:01 am to TigerintheNO
1) played at LSU and for the New Orleans Jazz
2) member of the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame
3)Career ended cut short in his prime. 7th season was his last full one.
That would be like if Lebron got hurt the his first year after leaving Cleveland and then faded away after 2 more years

Hard to argue for a guy that was listed as a member of the NBA's top 50. Sure his career was cut short but he doesn't belong in the "never was" conversation.

Rusty Rugg pitcher from Downsville, they wore him out in high school.
There was a kid from Jackson Parish that blew his knee out in a pick up basketball game. He was being recruited by some big schools. I can't even remember his name.
Greg Procell

True, certainly not a "never was"
But he always has had the mystique of "what if" surrounding him because of the injuries and early death. To me anyway.

Think you're a little premature on that one, plus he had a pretty good college career
