the hornets had the lowest Pace of any team last season in the NBA. they had the 3rd worst defensive efficiency. and they were middle of the pack in points given up.
i wonder if monty is going to try to continue to keep the pace down and improve defense this season or if he will allow more running with the athleticism he now has at his disposal.

If he doesn't do this with the backcourt/wing athletes he has now, it will be a mistake IMO.
playing faster is a goliath strategy. he's got more talent, so why not maximize the chances the talent has to impact the game?

Steals and rebounds lead to transition, especially when you have Holiday running the break instead of Vasquez. Pace will increase significantly just on that improvement alone.
