So I put a roast in the crock pot over night and

put it on warm before I left for work this morning. Should be fine all day right? Don't wanna burn the thing up or dry it out or whatever.....

So you left meat in he crock pot overnight without it being on and just turned it on this morning?

Like others have said, as long as its in broth you're good. If it's just sitting in there dry, will be dried out to the max

If its already cooked and he leaves it on warm all day it's going to dry out.

Yes that is the purpose of a crock pot, being able to ignore the food as the moisture content is trapped under the lid till time for vittles arrives.

Did you cook it last night?
When i do weekday roasts in the crockpot, i put it on low when i leave. But i also have juice in there. I use a mixture of condensed cream of mushroom, dry onion soup mix, and beef broth. Sometimes i just use wine and water.
Always comes out great. I would think if you just had it on warm, it won't cook all the way through

Thanks y'all. It cooked overnight and put on warm before I left this morning. Plenty of broth. Thanks again!

yeah used onion soup mix, beer, water and a few types of seasoning thrown in. Turned out damn good. Can't wait to get home. Just didn't want it to dry out or burn up while I was gone all day...

That' a long time. Worst case would be you can make some roast beef debris sandwiches.
I don't like to leave things unattended in my slow cooker for more than 6 hours, but if you are comfortable with the temperature, you should be fine.

I'm sure it will be fine, but out of curiosity, why did you cook it overnight if you knew it was going to have all day in the crock pot and could have been cooking then?

Personally,
1. Waking up to the smell of a roast is the second best way to wake up, behind sex.
2. Never know when I'll get held up at work with that bad boy on cook, as opposed to warm.

I've left a roast in beef stock overnight on warm and it was absolutely delicious.
As others have said, if you had liquid in there, you'll be fine. Should be very tasty.

BB, I put a T of tomato paste in my roast beef gravy. Just wanted you to know.
