That won't drain the wallet?
Thanks for any help.

Not BR specific. But my go to is always Zoe's kitchen if there's one around and I want to be healthy

I am not sure what you consider draining the wallet..
But Truly Free is a weekly stop for me. Gluten free, egg free, dairy free.
You can get some good options at Byronz if you get roast and veggies. Their roast is amazing.
Sushi is very very healthy and most sushi joints do incredible lunch specials. For example, rock n sake.. Which is pricey for dinner.. Does a lunch menu with a soup, salad, soft drink, and one specialty roll or two regular rolls for $12.

Yah, but I can't go there without getting the blue cheese chips.

you and me both.. I think they're great.
And I can't go and not get a salad with the Asian vinaigrette.. Or not get the carrot soufflé as my dessert.
I always end up spending too much because I have things I can't go without there.

fify.. it also can be really unhealthy
My go-to for a healthier meal is Zoe's kitchen.. either kabobs or protein plate without any starches/carbs, replace those with hummus and/or grilled veggies.

protein plate
I add a side of fruit and this is my go to lunch about 2-3 times a week.
Healthiest thing on the menu there and extremely filling IMO

When I think sushi, I think just fish and maybe a dab of rice... Sashimi and nigiri.
Not the mayo explosion rolls
But you're right.. Some people only eat that and its horrid for you.

I'll probably be asking for some tips.
I'm having some health issues and trying out a gluten/carb free diet to see if it is the issue. Not necessarily cutting it out 100%.. But no more fried foods, pasta, sandwiches, etc.

Basically what I've done the past 26 days. I still eat healthy carbs but absolutely no fried stuff. I've had bread maybe two or three times.

How has it worked out for you? I'm not doing it to lose weight .. But I certainly won't complain if I do.
I just have "digestive issues" and its making my day to day life miserable.
Technically if I was following the FODMAP diet to pinpoint what triggers my problems, I would cut out dairy and certain veggies and garlic and onions too.. But I feel like I know myself enough to know its not those things triggering it. It's carbs and fried stuff IMO.
Hard when you work at a Poboy/fried seafood restaurant, by the way

Counter Culture on Perkins is good
Any sushi place will usually have lunch bento box specials

So far it's worked well. Started June 1. Lost 13lbs. All fat . But that's including lifting weights and cardio alot during the week. I also cut drinking during the week and focusing on high protein diet.
It really isn't that bad. Give it a shot

Cutting out carbs cut out heartburn/indigestion and a few other issues for me. Only takes a little to flare it back up again also.
