Does it make you feel any better to know

that we got beat by the eventual champion UCLA in the opening game and that UCLA then beat UNC who beat us in our 2nd game?
For me it doesn't make it any better. It just makes losing feel all the more worse. I can't imagine how the players must feel knowing that UCLA just won the CWS by beating a Western Division opponent that LSU dominated in the regular season.

Not at all.
UCLA wouldn't have made it to Omaha if they had played in either the regional or Super regional in BR.

It doesn't make me feel any better or worse.
What makes me feel worse is that I'm forming a conclusion that college baseball has evolved into a game that is greatly dissimilar to minor and major league professional baseball. This dissimilarity will operate to draw fewer talented high school baseball players into the college ranks.
If a talented high schooler has any opportunity to go play minor league ball, even at the lowest levels, the incentive to choose college baseball instead has been entirely removed, because the college game is vastly different, due to the dead bats and different ball structure.
I'm not sure that any of this will serve to enhance the popularity of college baseball.

Agreed....but at least a
quote:
Western Division opponent that LSU dominated in the regular season.
didn't win it.

Makes me think:
-had we won that game, we would have won it all.

Slightly better... Is that what you wanted? Did you want to hear that?
