I have a feeling that next season will be the rise of Dick Whitman.
:kige:
Don without the shackles of SCDPKJHELKJHREF/Megan is going to frick some shite up for the old agency.

Think about it like this, who in creative besides Peggy is left that is worth a shite? Ted is in California and the rest of the crew is unreliable at best.

I want to see somebody try to reign in Ginsberg other than Draper. They are about to be up shite creek. Nobody in that "meeting" has anything to do with creative, and nobody left in New York has any real experience managing creative other than Peggy attempting a cheap Draper imitation early in the season with her lackys at CGC.

Just bought myself a Hershey bar, can't wait to eat it tonight.

No hooker to buy it for you?

Great direction the story is going...
The agency stories were running on fumes, time to shake things up again...Megan is out...time to finish that escapade. Everyone is moving on...
This show needs 5 more years - it feels like intermission in a movie...
Great season, great episode.

I was sitting there watching the smooth Don kill it with Hershey, hand shaking and all. Then he literally killed it.
Although, I think there's merit to what someone said about Hershey coming back and saying we want an "honest" guy like Don. Still pissed at Roger the most. Joan is a grade A bitch so no surprise. Old arse Burt wasn't worth a shite this season. But Ted and Roger should have had his back. Hopefully, we get to see Don/Dick show back up and save their arse, but hand it to them as well. I'd rather not see Don doing his own deck.

This was a great show for a few seasons but it has jumped the shark

I see no fin in the water. This is a very different show than Season 1 in timescape and character decvelopment-and it's almost ten years later. It is different but no less compelling IMO. I think the only category it has suffered a drop in is in the visuals- but that's also due to time and setting preferences.

I disagree but I'm interested in your reasoning behind your opinion.

Still waiting...If ever a long running show hasn't jumped the shark it's this one.

It's jumped a small shark for me. With Don bottoming out, yet again.
If the show is going to keep with the oh-shite-don-has-lost-it/oh-shite-don-is-back-on-top cycle then I'm hoping that this is the final season.

The look between Don and Sally at the end was one of the best scenes of the episode.
Whatever happened to Avon???

Actually, this was a great season, imo.
As far as the stated questions above: Stan is still with the agency and he is awesome.
according to Weiner, Joan landed it. They did a poor job of showing it.
Thoughts/questions:
I think the show should be done with Megan at this point or at the very least show the last of her early in season 7 leaving Don for another man.
Don should write a book.
Am I the only one who wants to see Pete happy and thriving?
Is Ken's eyepatch permanent?
Will Bob get his in the end or have we seen the last of him?
The conversation Don and Betty had this episode was a highlight for me. First, I was in the no-way-in-hell they ever sleep together again. However, Betty crying to Don and Don calling her "Birdie"-in front Megan mind you, was heartwarming. You don't want a show like Mad Men to end on a cheesy note like Don and Betty getting back together(like Jones suggested), but I kind of want that for all parties involved.
-Speaking of Betty they did a really great job of redeeming her as a character this year.
Trudy is so freaking hot, she needs a sex scene in there.
Does Don even go back to advertising?
Does Roger die and leave his shares in the company to Joan? Joan/Peggy running the agency in the end?
Peggy and Don can they ever reconcile?
What is Sally going to do? Woodstock?
This show has to end in L.A.,right?
