bradley may honestly be more tactically savvy than Jurgen.
I just love TD.

Cristiano only cares about cristiano on the field
I think star players do get some input, it may not actually change anything jurgen does but I think at least talks to them about certain combinations. I'm not saying Bradley should decide tactics and basically become a player coach like Bill Russell for his last title.

Players deciding tactics is like children deciding what to eat for dinner. What they want is not necessarily what they need.

And to go on record, I think Cameron's role from the Jamaica and Honduras game is the best solution for now.
Bring size, energy and solid defense in for either Jones or Bradley at th 60' mark depending on cards, fitness, etc.
I will agree with this unless I become convinced that we are actually more dynamic offensively (in addition to being more solid defensively) with Cameron in Jones's spot.
I'm not a fan of keeping Jones there simply b/c he plays at a high club level, has a lot of caps there, etc.
If the team performs better with him there, great, but I don't know that that's the case, and I hope JK keeps an open mind and keeps subbing in Cameron so that he can prove his recent performances weren't anomalies.
And at the idea of letting Bradley decide.

It's not out there. Jurgen is not a tactical genius. That said, The USSF pays him to do a job, and he's doing that job well.

I personally prefer the Cameron/MB pairing because it allows Bradley more freedom to move up the field in the attack. We've seen that Cameron can hit nice balls from deep and seems to have more poise in regards to staying more defensive and playing the ball around than Jones does. If Jones was more disciplined defensively I would be more ok with him pairing with MB every game, but seeing how Cameron played against Panama and what that allowed Bradley to do offensively, one has to wonder if Cameron isn't better for the team as a unit, even if he's not as skilled a footballer as Jones, individually.

This. When Bradley is paired with Cameron he has the freedom to create more and push further up the field. And the US needs all creativity we can get from the midfield. Jones may be a better player but as cwill says Cameron may be better, at this moment, for the team.

Cameron had a great start against Panama. Jones has been stellar for us over the past 5 or 6 games.
Sure, Cameron looked better against Panama than Jones did against Honduras. Panama is also less talented(even with the missing Hondurans), and wasn't content to sit behind the ball and make it difficult.
Bradley does go farther up the field with Cameron, but Bradley is also our most capable player when it comes to collecting the ball from our defenders, facilitating, and ensuring our attacking players get the ball in good positions.

I can't believe people are in such a rush to replace Jones with Cameron after one game...one game..which was against PANAMA.

I think its more the effect the each has on Bradley than it is about Jones being better than Cameron. Cameron also has started many games for Stoke in the EPL so it's not like he isn't playing against top notch talent.

Worst article ever. ESPN should be ashamed.

I understand their argument, which I disagree with big time. I think the one constant in our team right now (outside of the recent resurgence of Jozy) is the play of Bradley and Jones. I think they are starting to gel very nicely, espcially since they have played with each other for a while now.

Love this line of thought! You do realize that Panama beat Honduras 2-0 right?
Also Jones has never been stellar. He is a very solid player, but he is not anyone to build a team around. MB is the best midfielder the USMNT has and Cameron allows him to truly run the offense.

You people are vastly overrating Jones's previous run outs IMO. I don't think he's ever rated above a 6/10 performance wise for us.
He's one of those players who are just better with their clubs/don't seem to work as well internationally IMHO

Jones was better than Bradley against Germany.
Friendly, but he was.
He was easily our best player against Belgium, but we were without MB and Dempsey.
