I've been. It's not bad. I currently am on a beer buying break. Gotta make room in my fridge.

I use photobucket. There should be an image link that you can copy and paste straight into the text box.

If you're using the imgur app you have to add .jpg to the end of the address. For some reason that app stopped doing it by default.

Dean, what's a good beer bar in the Nob Hill/Union Square area?

how good was Bishop Barrel 3? Shreveport just got some in and I'm wondering how much I should buy this evening.

I thought it was top notch... if you like bourbon barrel beers.

Dude. Needed something light at 8:30 AM. Besides, the lobby bar didn't open until 11:00, or it would have been a Pliny breakfast. Don't pull my maven card!

You can get it at a bottle shop? Thought it was bar only. Haven't had any of the BB beers but I hear great things.

It is supposed to be bar only, but Shreveport has a restaurant/bar that also has a bottle shop, so they sell it at their bottle shop. Nice little loophole for them.

Hmmm, neither are great for beer, at least from my experience.

I would likely go to La Trappe, especially if you like Belgian beers.

La Trappe Cafe, Greenwich Street, San Francisco, CA

And I guess I would add 50 Mason Social House. I've never been and its kind of in a touristy area, but the list looks legit...especially if you are coming from elsewhere. Nothing special but ok.

Beer list

I might add that City Beer Store isn't that for away from Union Square depending on what you are looking for. It would give you the opportunity to buy beer to take with and drink there.

Awesome. We only have a few days, so don't really have time to head out to any breweries. But I would like to sample a bunch of good stuff out there.

I would venture outside of the 2 named areas for real.

I think others can vouch for the list of options I post in this thread. I also give food help too.

CA Beer Help

A great local brewery is Magnolia on Haight, which also has awesome food. Tiger Ryno would agree with me that its worth the trip. Take a bus out there and then cab home.

It would also be a shame to come out here and not go to Toronado. That is also on Haight street. Don't hesitate to ask any questions.
