All the dumbasses who say Bama raids LA every year should read this article. Great post.

Honestly recruitniks have been anticipating this class for over a year now with the only surprises being Clifton Garrett and Saeed Blacknall. The Cam Cameron hire only increased the excitement of things to come.

"LSU isn't just locking down its backyard," says Bud. "It already has the top player from Mississippi in safety Devin Voorhies, the top player from Texas in safety Ed Paris and one of the five best Texas cornerbacks in Chris Hardeman. And it's likely to land elite Texas cornerback Tony Brown, whose sister attends LSU to run track."

This paragraph would have looked even more impressive if they would ha e added Oklahoma's best player as well. I still find it hard to believe that Ok's best player doesn't have five stars.
As pointed out by a previous reply, half of those stats of in state blue chip percentages are skewed since they don't all get offers kinda like the previous 5-star RB C Michael that A+M fans were so proud of taking from us at a time when LSU's RB stable has been tops in the nation by a landslide.
Thnx to the OP for Posting a very cool article!

"When you talk modern LSU recruiting, most of the discussion begins with Nick Saban. But he's often overcredited," says Crewe. "It's absolutely true that Saban elevated LSU to an elite recruiting power, but the transition truly began under Gerry DiNardo when he was able to reel in Kevin Faulk."
They done did it now.
