OB Mechanics help needed. (***Update***)

Drove my buddy's truck down to the coast to wade fish this weekend and there were no problems on the way there or back. Today he says it's bucking at idle on his way to work and the check engine light is on. My first thought is it's either bad gas because we filled up that morning or water got into the intake when going through some puddles. If it's water I've read that alcohol will take care of it. Can anyone confirm that or have any other suggestions?
UPDATE:
Diagnostics read code P0301 Cylinder number 1 is not firing properly.

Check the engine code at autozone and report back.

Already told him to go do that at lunch. I'm hoping it's just a sensor.

What kind of puddles are we talking about here?

They came about half way up the tires. The truck also has a 3 inch lift so it's pretty high off the ground.

so,you're not going to tell us what year make and model truck it is and expect someone to help.

He can pick up a fuel treatment while there too if you're worried about water.

More importantly, did you catch any fish?

probably got some water around one of the coil packs.

1 Sheepshead not big enough to keep. Texas fishing is way slower than Louisiana.

Updated in the OP.

water on coil as I said.
Any idea what engine? 6.2l?
I'd check cylinder compression because those engines have been known to break valve springs from time to time.

Take it apart and dry the coil then?

what size motor? Makes a difference.
Posted on 6/10/13 at 2:38 pm to AngryBeavers
then no. That motor has plug wires that run traditionally.
Probably will need a new coil.
try swapping out with a coil from the other side and read codes again to see if the misfire follows the coil pack.
