It seems like we were hitting the ball all over the place against Ole Miss. We come out against Booma hot then we go cold. Only a couple of hits against Arky, and only score because of an error. Can't score to save our lives. I mean 1 run in 17 innings is sub par. Did we exhaust ourselves against aTm and Ole Miss, or are we just mailing the tournament in for the regionals?

I don't think so....I want to see what this team looks like in post season games that really matter.....If we are focused we should mash through the regional in the Box.

The last 3 games haven't mattered.

If you think Mainieri has brought out the big guns these past games you are only fooling yourself.

All I'm saying is Mainieri better not let the team get too comfortable with this style of play or the regionals are gonna eat us up

Lets be honest with ourselves here. I'm not trolling nor do I ever try to troll. In the last half of the season LSU has had some real trouble hitting the ball when it counts. Multiple times a game this team leaves runners stranded and just can't seem to find the timely hit. Several times we have had the bases loaded only with an out or less and only scratch across one run. I think this team can make it to Omaha even with the way they are playing now, but it wouldn't surprise me if a few games ended up like this one in a super regional where we just can't find any runs. The whole "this game didn't mean anything" attitude is kind of retarded as well. That was the normal starting line-up with our best starter pitching out there. They weren't just phoning the game in. Hopefully the intensity and atmosphere of a baton rouge regional will light a fire back under this team and they'll start rolling through teams like earlier in the season.

It amazes me how many people don't realize how much variance there is in the game of baseball. And how much of a role luck and randomness play in a small sample.

The Astros will likely handily beat the eventual world series winner in one game this year.

Nevermind the fact that today, LSU faced a 1st round draft pick. He has also been mentioned as maybe the first pitcher taken...but yea, we peaked in March.

If the Stros don't take Gray I may burn every stich of Astros gear that I own....and that is a lot.
