I've used one for an ar mag before.

I use one on my Glock 23 if I'm at the range or shooting a lot. Those mag springs and big bullets will start to kill your thumbs.

Have one for my Springfield XD40. I honestly don't think I could load my extended mag without it.

Smith m&p and yes, I originally bought one for my wife to use during her c.c. class but was amazed on how easy it makes it to get those last few rounds in there. Now I use it every time we shoot.
