Your trade is actually worse than the one in the OP, and even that trade is bad for us.
Not my trade. I'm just saying that the numbers don't work with a Jordan/Bledsoe for Lopez/Gordon trade. The only way to really trade Bledsoe/Jordan for Gordon is with other players, not Lopez. That is worse than the OP trade.
Like I said though, I'm torn on the Lopez/Gordon for Jordan/Bledsoe trade (if possible). You have to like Jordan's athleticisim over Lopez and hope he grows up. He's 25 and is around that age where he could potentially put it together. Although that may never happen. I could go either way on this.

I totally disagree. More minutes means you get more consistent opportunities and allows you to feel the game out better. Just like really high minutes will end up reducing efficiencies due to fatigue. This is why PER and per 36 must be used within context. 15 minutes against backups is not as challenging per minute as 42 minutes against starters.
Except when given minutes this year, his Per 36 are on par with when he WASN'T getting minutes.
You are right though...Jordan's basketball IQ is low. He's not Javale McGee by any stretch of the imagination, but it is really low.

a Bledsoe/Jordan for EG/Lopez deal could go down
Dell should be fired within minutes if he does this.

I do find it interesting that on one hand people start threads about how much they hate Gordon and would trade a ham sandwich for him...then turn down any deal that dumps Gordon and brings back somewhat functional players.
Ok, I'm done playing devil's advocate here. Deandre Jordan is not the type of player I imagine Monty wanting on his team.

In fairness, I've been pretty resolute.

Well, you'd also like AFA's athleticism over Gallinari's, but who would you want as your SF? It gets to a point in the NBA where you can't just look at a guy's athleticism and ignore his poor body of work. I don't see Deandre really getting much better than he is currently. If he can get his head straight and is a good defensive center, it's at best a lateral move from Lopez. He also has one of the worst contracts in the league, so no thanks.

Well thats just great!! We give ip two types for two backups.

I'm all for trading Gordon for a bag of potato chips, but that's a shite trade right there

Lopez and Jordan are equally backup, he is just a pelicants favorite. Bledsoe is an overly celibrated kid while gordan is an overly paid baby. Pretty even trade.

Damn if danman won't do it...

Now that is a good analogy!

Didn't say I wouldn't do it...
It is a shite trade though. But I'm not as big of a Bledsoe fan as many on here are.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic here.
It is a terrible, terrible analogy.
The difference between Deandre Jordan and Lopez (not factoring in contracts) is negligible, by any argument.
The difference between Gallinari and AFA is vast...extremely vast.

I'd like to see if lopez can put on some strength and give him another shot to hopefully show flashes of his twin. I'd also enjoy small ball at times to, that is easier to accomplish without a high contract center. I liked jordan until I saw how ineffective he is against real centers in the memphis series.
