was Colston even close to winning Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2006?
I know Vince Young ended up getting it yet his team finished with a mediocre 8-8 record.
Colston had 70 rec. for 1,038 yards and 8 TD's.
He missed 2 games because he got dinged up in the Bengals game that year. The next week the Saints thumped the Falcons and Brees put up like 350 yards passing. So you would think Colston would have had a big game that week. The other game he missed was a win over the 49ers. Reggie Bush ended up with 4 TD's in that game but Brees didn't exactly light it up that week through the air.
I mean shite, Reggie actually had a case for the honor as well.
155 carries 565 yards 6 TD's
88 rec. 742 yards 2 TD's
-also returned a punt for a TD. So he scored 9 Td's total.
Vince Young had very pedestrian numbers passing:
184 completions in 357 attempts for 2,199 yards
12 TD 13 INT's
51.5 completion percentage
but here was the bread winner I guess:
83 carries 552 yards and 7 TD's.
he won it on a team in a smaller market like New Orleans which pissed me off even more. Colston or Reggie had just as good of a case in my opinion. Who knows what would have happened had Colston not gotten hurt in that Bengals game... probably would have been screwed over anyway I guess

You can rearrange Rita Benson and spell Saint Boner though.

Vince Young had one of the better defenses in football that year and entirely unimpressive stats yet every mouthbreather in the world including 99% of the MSB was fellating him shamelessly
There is no scenario in which VY is a better pro than Colston. Not that year, not any year. yeah, I'm still bitter

yeah, I guess his "moment" was that long TD run he had to beat a 4-8 Texans team in OT at the time
all the while, Colston was quietly leading the #2 seed in the NFC that year in receiving...

That's an unfair assessment.
The thugs I've come across would be insulted to be associated with that foolishness.

I have said for a long time that Vince Young was Tebow before Tebow...

Tim Tebow at least won a playoff game.
ETA: Vince Young won the rookie of the year award while being the worst rated passer in the entire league if memory serves. I need to stop before my blood boils.

He's so underrated. He should be considered one of the elite receivers, but is perceived merely good.
