Don't know but whoever it is, if he publicly admits it will be proof he only did it for self promotion.

I'm willing to bet the guy who did it voted based on what the award is suppose to be for (the Most VALUABLE Player) rather than what too many people think it is/should be for (The Best Talent in the League).
If you go by the former, Melo is your vote. If you go by the latter, then it's a toss-up between LeBron and Durant.

I've always said MVP should be changed to MOP for all sports. The most valuable player almost never wins it.

Lebron's team suffers at a bigger rate than Melo's when they are both off the court.
Furthermore, the Knicks are better than the Heat when both stars are on the bench. This isn't based on my opinion, but based on the actual numbers when both are off the court.

I don't remember GCA knighting for Kobe, so I don't think he would get along with unknownknight

You've been registered for 2 days and a quick look through your post history shows you are riding a strong anti-Lebron bias.
Play the word game of valuable/best if you want but a) "valuable" isn't how the mvp has traditional been determined in the NBA just one aspect of it & b) put Lebron on any team with a winning record this year and he would be the most valuable bc that team would win the title.

You replace LeBron with the league average SF then the Heat are still the top seed in the East.
You replace Carmelo with the league average SF then the Knicks are a 40 win team hoping for the 8th seed.

Context. Stats tell very little of the story.
