Because things don't always flow together seamlessly. Plenty of teams have moved the ball well and everyone understood their roles, but rarely do these teams win it all without an elite creator. You need an iso player in certain situations. Your system of essentially role players WILL run into issues and break down. You need more than one elite scorer off the dribble.
Hill, Payton, Lebron, Bird, Pippen, etc can all create but they don't need to there is only 1 basketball. You also lack shooters your team is extremely easy to defend.

quote:Larry, Michael, Kobe, Pippen. That's all we're gonna need. We'll be getting high-percentage inside shots from our elite post players, cutters, and drivers all day long. You'll be relying WAY too much on outside shooting.
You also lack shooters

I would want my players to complement each other, but I can't overlook the big name guys.
- Hakeem -- Versatile center and elite defensive presence.
- Dirk -- Awesome inside/outside player. Can shoot and complement Hakeem in the post/high post
- Pippen -- Elite defender to complement Hakeem's interior defense. Can shoot and attack the lane.
- MJ -- It's MJ
- Stockton -- Can run the offense or lay off when MJ is doing his thing. Still valuable because he's an efficient shooter and solid defender. Can get a steal and then get out on the break with the other starters. Can run the pick and roll with Dirk.
Bill Russell
Jerry West
Larry Bird
Kevin Garnett
Gary Payton
Dennis Rodman
Joe Dumars

You're dealing with the great NBA fan who once called Blake Griffin the greatest wing on the break of all time, just to put things in perspective

I actually agree about the one basketball. With that being said your ridiculous troll is still ridiculous.

I'd also be tempted to put 2006 Finals Dwyane Wade on there...

Hakeem used to not be American

If Bill Russell isn't a starter, there is no credibility to the thread.

I would take either Magic or Thomas over Stockton...........
