If we are basing MVP off of who was more important to their specific team it still lebron, with arguments for maybe being CP3 or Durant.

Take Lebron off Mia and they still make the playoffs in the East. Can you say the same for Melo and the Knicks?

ETA: If I did have a vote, I'd vote for Lebron, but Melo getting a vote isn't absurd.

This is a pretty big leap.

Yes.

The east sucks and the Knicks still outscored their opponents with melo off the floor. Not true for the MIA.

However, MIA not making the playoffs without bron is absolutely laughable. They'd be a 4 seed at least.

The Southeast div consists of the Heat, Hawks, Magic, Wizards and Bobcats.

They still win that division easily without bron.

Yes it is. A first place for melo is completely absurd. Applying any standard for MVP still puts Lebron at the top and if not him, Durant or CP3. A melo-less Knick team is still better than a Durant-less Thunder and a CP-less Clippers.

Melo has no business getting a 1st place vote.

A very reasonable post. I realize that we're not as smart as Jester and JohnnyKilroy, but I like myself anyway.
