.425 with RISP

Not certain. Saw it at the game tonight; I'm assuming it's for this season.

His career average is probably somewhere around .300 with RISP. Last year he hit about .580 in that spot. That should give you a good indication of where he is this year.

I'm not so good at math, but if he was .580 last year, and his career is now .425 (insert math shite) his avg this year is.,.?

yeah I remember that as well
Not sure if it was career or season. Either way, not bad at all.

It has to be for his career. But I'm just assuming here. I don't think he's batting .425 this season with RISP.
People forget how incredibly successful he has been in his time at LSU. The kid bat .360 his first year. That's ridiculously good using these bats. That would be the team lead for several postseason SEC teams. So after last season, if he doesnt get a hit every other at bat, the guy is a "pedestrian" hitter. What an incredibly idiotic statement. I'm aware of Raph's struggles in the clutch, but the guy will go down as one of best 3-year hitters for average in LSU history. Pedestrian my arse.

.330 is pretty bad for a guy hitting over .400 for his career. He's trying to do too much to improve his draft stock.
You can't blame him, though. He hits .500 through most of the season and he doesn't get drafted early. He just needs to stop rolling over pitches with guys on 1st.

Pretty sure everyone has the same emotion when god and bad plays happen.
But the calling out of players for every play just makes most there seem very immature and douchy...

What does that even mean? Like Justin Verlander's season last year was pretty bad for someone coming off an MVP in 2011?

I'd go along with that. I was just guessing.

You should quit with the idiotic posts. It's clear that you don't know what you're talking about. He hit over .500 most of the season, no one with any sense should expect anyone to hit remotely close to this consistently, so of course his average is going to go down. He's cool now, but we've seen what he can do when he's hot. I'd bet everything that he'll warm up before the season's out.

This couldn't be further from the truth. He's not planning on making a career out of baseball. He came back to LSU when his stock was at a high, not to improve his stock, but because playing baseball at LSU had always been a dream of his and because no one threw serious change at him it wasn't worth it to him to miss out on another year of dominating college baseball with a chance to win the CWS.

Game 2 USC series. bases loaded double play that would have broken open a tight game.

EspnU had the stat up in the 8th. It was like .425 for his career.

Raph has been awesome at hitting with no one on base. Hasn't been hitting much with anyone on base though

He's hitting more gappers and more ground balls with runners on. He's changed his approach.
