Where do you guys think Josh Reed stands in the ranking of LSU's receivers? Best of all time? Or pretty close to the top?

Arguably the best.. Only Biletnikoff award winner but I'd put Wendell Davis first

Martin and Reed are neck and neck

Eric Martin and Carlos Carson were pretty good.
ETA: Wendell Davis also

Of course he the best. How many Biletnikoff winners does LSU have besides Reed?

Reed is the best. He could take over a game as a WR while playing opposite of a true freshman. Of course that FR was Michael Clayton, but Reed made him look better than he actually was his freshman season.

Wendell Davis was the best. He also had a good NFL career going until that crappy turf at Veteran's Stadium ruined both of his knees and his career.

Reed and Wendell Davis are 1 and 1A on any list of LSU receivers. Eddie Kennison, Carlos Carson, Michael Clayton follow.
Andy Hamilton had some of the best hands ever at the position.
Edit to add: Like an idiot I left Eric Martin off. He's as good as any who played at LSU.

I would put Reed #1. He was the SEC all time leading receiver (yds) when he left LSU. Virtually uncoverable in 2001 season.
2. Eric Martin
3. Wendell Davis

The only problem is the 1 1/2 year exposure at the position.
LSU has had, literally, 2 All American wide receievers - Wendell Davis and Josh Reed. Eric Martin might have been better, overall, than either.
Purely based on time at LSU, and looking at season and career numbers, Reed got the Biletnikoff and All American nod for 2001 season, and this remains the best season ever for an SEC WR. He has 3,001 receiving yards for a career, despite playing the position for a little over 1 1/2 years.
The Bama game (also a single game SEC record) was as fun a game to watch a single player in history. I've never, ever seen a wide receiver get so consistently open - without even a defender being in the camera shot in my life - and that includes Roy Williams (Texas WR) against us in the 2003 Cotton Bowl.

Michael Clayton is up there

Reed was LSU's most productive receiver ever. He was unstoppable in college. He gets my vote if we are talking strictly LSU and college football.

Master of the push-off, that's for sure.

At LSU, he's right there. Bowe in NFL has potential to be a great pro.

Reed and Davis are interchangeable at 1 and 2. Martin comes in at #3.
I loved Carlos Carson as much is the next guy, but I think his legend far exceeds his actual playing ability.

Reed was my favorite. He caught everything. He also could make cuts like a running back because he was converted from that position.
