No idea why it didn't work first time. Sorry guys
That continuously takes over my azaleas. Have to go uproot them every couple months and they spread like a wildfire in west Texas.
TIA

Yea, something like a pic might be helpful...

maybe your azaleas keep trying to take over the vine.

Looks like wisteria in my imagination.
*edit* Now that you've added a photo, I see my imagination was full of shite.

Are the leaves rubbery and does it bloom in the Fall with a vanilla aroma that lovebugs are attracted to? If so, I have no idea.

Does it start off looking like this?

almost looks like an asiatic jasmine variety.
what ever it is you can get rid of it with round up.

The roundup won't hurt my azaleas, BP?

I have been battling at least three types of vines in my Ligustrums and Photenias, and have no idea what any of them are.

Looks like it on Google images but it doesn't bloom anything. It's strange. Sprouts out quite a few vines then the vines wonder around and actually go back in the ground.
Bout to dig up everything and start over. Frick all the hard work in the yard just to please my wife would rather have a nice yard of nothin but wheat or rye anyway

round up will kill them azaleas deader than a road dwelling dillo.
Let the vines grow, several feet longer than the azaleas, while trying to guide them to grow from one area of the bush. Then cover the azelea with a plastic bag on a windless night and lay the vines on top. Wear rubber gloves and use a kitchen sponge to apply concentrated glyo 41% directly to the leaves of the vines. Do not spray on as you risk getting some on the azeleas even with them covered. Let the vines dry overnight and in the sun the next day for a couple of hours. Then wrap the vines in plastic and remove the plastic from the azeleas so you do not burn them in the sun. Leave the bagged plastic vines intact for a few days then prune them back like normal.
Glyo works on the roots of the plant. With any luck, and with a large enough amount of leaves treated on the vine, you will kill the root system of the vine.
good luck.

It will creep up on you like a kudzu vine, even miles above the Mason Dixon line.. Till one day your cravin hominy gritz, and search the jukebox for George Jones hits...
